I've had the wonderful opportunity to work with a professional photographer, R John Ferguson, on a photoshoot. We did the shoot on campus at Rose Hulman. It was a lot of fun and the pictures turn out pretty cool! I did go into picnik and change them up a little bit (cause thats just what i do). Anyways here are a few of the pictures he took.

whats up with him?

What is up with John Mayer anymore? When did he lose his brain? I was reading this article about John Mayer in the new Rolling Stone magazine for Feb 2010 and it totally gave me a huge epiphany of who he really is. Which I might add is not a good thing. I always kind of knew that he was a weirdo and totally star struck but I thought he at least had some brains in that head but thats just what he wants people to think, in reality - he doesn't have any reality. He lives in celebrity world where people dont matter and things arent real and the music isn't his truth it iss his way of becoming more famous.

I own damn near all of John Mayers albums and I cant deny that he is a phenomenal musician. The things he can do with a guitar are unfathomable. However, whats up with his new album Battle Studies? There is maybe 2 good songs on it. Continuum was way better and even John Mayer admits it in the article of the Rolling Stone but he also goes on to say, "I think you gain more then you lose by saying that." What do you gain by putting out an album that isn't good? He put out a lame album just so he could say his last one was better and try to take credit for admitting that it wasnt his best.

John Mayer spent some time working with Eric Clapton which is, or should be, a huge accomplishment. Clapton is a fan of Mayers but mentioned that John doesn't understand the power of working with other musicians. Which would explain why he "features" Taylor Swift in the song "Half of My Heart" yet she only sings like 8 words the whole song. I feel like if you feature someone in your song, you let them actually have a part in it. It's just embarrassing how small her part is in the song.

And whats up with John Mayer's stupid obsession with Twitter? Yeah so lots of musicians have twitter and update frequently, but they don't sit around trash talking twitter and then turn around and brag about having 2,919,691 followers. He talks about how he tells poop jokes on his twitter. He thinks that makes him more "realistic." In reality, if one of my friends told poop jokes like he does on their twitter id probably think they were dumb. And just because John Mayer is good at guitar, doesn't make any acceptions- it's dumb.

And my biggest flaw with him in this article is his obsession with not love but vaginas. He isn't looking for someone he can fall in love with and be with, hes looking for someone he can "spend a weekend with their vagina." Rolling Stone magazine highlighted him saying he was looking for the "joshua tree of vaginas". He's totally perverted and out of line with almost all of the things he says in the article. He is addicted to porn and masterbating and he takes pride in these traits. I've lost a lot of respect for John Mayer not just by him putting out a stupid album but for being one of the most shallow people in Hollywood. Congratulations John Mayer, you are not nearly as smart as you think you are. Stick to your playing guitar, and spend a little less time talking and everyone will be much happier.

Ive pretty much always been a Jason Mraz fan. I've seen him play live several times and i even got to meet him once after a show... i love almost all of his music- however there is one song I never liked.. its a song called Plane. On his mr. a-z cd it is really slow and weird and I just never got it; UNTIL yesterday! I came across this video and I've watched it several times since then. It's the same song, Plane, but it's a different version of him singing it live and it is amazing. I think it's from before he was ever famous. My guess is he is just opening up for someone else. Anyways, I love it and I wish he wouldn't have changed it on his album. So if you have ever heard the song Plane and didn't really like it, listen to this version and it will change your whole perspective of the song.. at least it did for me.

well my wish is coming true- fall is right around the corner! today it was only 71 degrees :) yayayay! and everyone knows that new seasons call for new shoes! i think this year im craving some vans; ive got a couple pair in mind...

Sometimes things happen and we dont understand why. We just have to trust God and know that he has his reasons. Just always take the time to appreciate what you have and know that tomorrow promises nothing.

I am ready for the fall. I will always have a special place in my heart for summer, but theres just something about the warm sun clashing with the crisp wind. And nothing feels better then the dry leaves that crunch under your feet as you walk. You can smell the new era and its quite refreshing. Fall brings the perfect temperature. The colors of everything and the feeling in the air.. ugh i just love it. Im getting anxious just thinking about it!

If you like photography, you have to check out Dani Brubaker. Her way of making these young kids seem so beautiful and mature, yet still kids is amazing. She's quite inspiring. Wish I had a camera :(
